Comparison: Princess Line by Vera Wang

Hello Perfumista!!!

So for my third 'Comparison' post, I decided to do something from one of my favorites fragrance line, Princess by Vera Wang.

The first one is the original fragrance in the series, 'Princess'. It was launched in 2006 and the idea of this fragrance is to celebrate youth and femininity.

Princess, 2006

Let's talk about the bottle first. I love the bottle so much. The lilac/purple colored bottle looks like a heart-shaped jewel. It's so elegant and royal but cute at the same time. I think this perfume is delicious! I love the combination of gourmand with fruit and flowers. I smell chocolate, vanilla, guava, a bit of floral, and a base of warm amber.

Flower Princess, 2006

The second one was also launched in 2006 which is 'Flower Princess'. It was created in honor of the spring time and Japanese cultural movement Kawaii. The bottle is still the same but this time the color was pale pink nuances, with silver crown-like top adorned with pink crystals. This fragrance has more of a floral musk scent. There are some floral notes I can tell but it is not overpowering.

Rock Princess, 2009

Next one is the edgiest and tougher version, Rock Princess. Rock Princess was released in 2009. Bottle was made of dark glass, decorated with metal details and a crown in the same nuance as the bottle, which is black. This is quite an unusual scent. I smell the banana and coconut in it and I find the blend very interesting! I expected this one to be darker actually

Glam Princess, 2009

Glam Princess is the fourth princess in the line of fragrant creations of the house of Vera Wang. This line arrived in a shimmering gold bottle with pink stars and gold crown with gems. I think it's very chic and funky. As for the smells, the pear stands out upon the first spray! The dry down is still quite fruity

Preppy Princess, 2010

Finally, the latest one which is, Preppy Princess. It was released in 2010. The bottle is heart - shaped like all the previous editions, this time decorated with blue and pink plaid pattern and sophisticated pearls around the crown that is the stopper. I think this one is very fruity, sweet and memorable.I think its more for the younger generation. It does smell a little woody though.

Review: Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy

Viva La Juicy was officially launched in 2008. The perfume arrives in a typical Juicy Couture bottle with a charming ribbon of fuchsia colour. The ribbon is definitely my favorite part of the bottle. I think the bottle (100 ml) is too big and heavy. It's really hard for me to put the bottle in my bag due to its size.

As for the smells, I really like it. It's very sweet and creamy on me. The first time I sprayed this on, it reminds me of  popcorn, probably because of the caramel smell. I get compliments wearing Viva La Juicy more than any other scent in my collection. So good for me then....

Basic Information:-

Notes: Caramel, Vanilla, Praline, Mandarin Orange, Honeysuckle, Gardenia

  Everyday, Spring

Comparison: Fancy Line by Jessica Simpson

Fancy is the most popular lines by Jessica Simpson. Currently, there are 4 fragrances under the Fancy lines. So I'm going to compare between these 4 and help you to decide which one is suitable the most for you.

Fancy, 2008

The original Fancy was launched in 2008. I think the bottle is very magical and sensual. The peach color compliment the bottle well. The design is so classy and sophisticated. It's very easy to handle the bottle. The smells are very sweet, yet rich, gourmand vanilla-laced caramel with hints of soft florals, juicy fruits and decadent cream.

Fancy Love, 2009

The second fragrance in the Fancy line is Fancy Love. It was launched a year after the original Fancy and the perfume arrives in a milky white bottle with a golden cap, shaped the same as the original Fancy. The smells are so beautiful and very romantic with a creamy and powdery scent to it

Fancy Nights, 2010

Fancy Night was launched in 2010. I think the bottle is provocative and bold. I love the contrast of the colors here (green bottle and gold cap). Fancy Nights starts out with a very predominant blast of Patchouli, which is one of the unusual smells for me. I'm not familiar with the smell, that's why I think this perfume stood out from the first two fragrances in this line.

I Fancy You, 2011

I think the bottle's design is so cute and girly because all over the light blue bottle is adorned with cute silver heart-shaped symbols. This time the color of the cap is silver. The fragrance opens with fruity notes of Fuji apple and pear. It smells very nice and fresh but not too girly actually.

Here are my comparison between the fragrances from the Fancy line.

Review: Avril Lavigne Forbidden Rose

Forbidden Rose is a fragrance by Avril Lavigne and it was launched on the market in July 2010. I don't have the perfume but my friend has one so I am familiar with the smell. The bottle is very unique and captivating. I love the color of the bottle which is violet but the best part of the bottle is the beautiful black rose cap. It was not overdone and complicated like Someday's cap.

I like the smells. On me, it turns into a very light and sweet fragrance. It smells like sweet apples, with a hint of some flower (lotus), and a touch of vanilla. I can sense a hint of chocolate, but not prominent as the smells of vanilla & rose. If you like the vanilla-based perfume, you should consider to buy this.

Basic Information:-

Notes: Vanilla, Lotus, Red Apple, Peach, Mexican Chocolate, Granny Smith Apple

Occasions:
 Date, Spring

Review: Justin Bieber Someday

When I heard about Justin Bieber's perfume, it felt a little bit weird because I expected him to come up with a men fragrance. But right now, I think he made a right decision since I don't think it will be received well like Someday. Someday was launched in 2011. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the bottle was the flower on top. I think it is a bit over the top and hard to handle.  However I do like the box. I think the design is very girly and pretty. The bottle? Hmmm not so much.

I smell berries, berries, berries then some vanilla, sugar and something which remind me of massage oil. I think teenage girls will love this. It's pleasant enough for a younger audience. I'm not really a fan of this one, because there's nothing unique about the smell. Sorry Beliebers.

Review: Gucci Premiere

Gucci Premiere is definitely the most talked about perfume this year. I heard a lot about this perfume from my friends and I can't wait to get one. Finally, I get the sample of Gucci Premiere and I get it why lot of my friends like it. The smells are so elegant and classy. I'm not sure if the teenage girls will love this because I think it's cater to young adult/adult more.

The box is simple but still look regal. I love the bottle. It's totally glamorous and hollywood. The bottle looks so expensive, Mostly because of it's color which is Shiny Gold. I really like the promotion for this perfume too. You can see it on the television, cinema and everywhere honestly. That might be one of the reason why people talked about this a lot.

Basic Information:-

Notes: Bergamot, Orange Blossom, White Flowers, Musk, Leather & Wood

Review: Katy Perry Purr

Purr is a fragrance created by pop singer Katy Perry. The perfume and its design were influenced by Katy's love for cats. Released in November 2010, it is available in a purple cat-shaped bottle.

The box is simple. Nothing's unique about it but the bottle. Oh Gosh. I love the bottle so much. Not just a typical bottle. You can even use the bottle as the decoration in your bedroom. I love the bottle so much. As for the smell, it is very youth-oriented fruity floral. It has an apple-peach opening with a very fresh green note. And there's a vanilla vibe in the perfume too. I love the overall smell

Review: Taylor Swift Wonderstruck

Wonderstruck is the first perfume by Taylor Swift. It was released on September 2011. And it took me almost a year to get this amazing fragrance.

I love the box so much. The details are so pretty. The colors (Purple + Gold) are amazing. The bottle is also gorgeous. I love the charms around the neck of the bottle (Bird, Star & Bell).

As for the smell, I wasn't let down! it's a beautiful, sweet scent that reminds me of candied oranges and sweet florals. the scent lingered all day and didn't wear away quickly which is always a plus. It is not too heavy and very romantic
